The worst feeling in the world has got to be training for something, feeling confident as hell and then DUN DUN DUN…..you screw it all up. Seeing red light after red light really really sucks.
Things I learned from competing in a National Meet:
• They move a LOT faster than local meets. Started at 9 done by 11:30
• Weigh-ins went by weight class and not by who shows up first-Dammit I woke up hella early for nothing
• They do not allow Hello Kitty or Cry Baby shirts…must be PL related or plain. Super sad face cuz my HK shirt was cute as hell!
• OPEN OPEN OPEN with something stupid easy on the squat next time…like the bar. LOL
Telling myself I HATE squatting has got to stop. I also need to stop using a mirror to place my feet and just know that I CAN DO IT. Also, stop listening to your mom when she tells you squatting too much weight will give you hemorrhoids, you’d be surprised how that kinda stuff goes through your head as you’re heading to the platform! On a positive note bench went well and deads I just don’t really think about, I feel confident that my spine will not detach.
Back to the drawing board and on to the next meet where failure is not an option!
